NASCAR has announced official stage lengths for all three of its series that will race at Pocono Raceway this summer.
Following unprecedented collaboration between NASCAR, drivers and teams, media partners and race track owners, stages were announced as part of the 2017 schedule creating three winning moments in each race as well as playoff points.
Race stages will now be utilized at all race tracks and through all three series’ – The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR XFINITY Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
NASCAR utilized in-depth review on fuel mileage at each track in setting the stage length. The fuel window at Pocono Raceway is approximately 35 laps so that strategy will most certainly come into play at ‘The Tricky Triangle.’
Pocono Raceway Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races (June 11 and July 30)
Stage 1 will end on lap 50
Stage 2 will end on lap 100
Final Stage will end on lap 160
Pocono Raceway Pocono Green 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race (June 10)
Stage 1 will end on lap 25
Stage 2 will end on lap 50
Final Stage will end on lap 100
Pocono Raceway NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (July 29)
Stage 1 will end on lap 15
Stage 2 will end on lap 30
Final Stage will end on lap 60
